Here’s the drawerful of items: At the Grand Hotel for a quite restful weekend, my first idea was to discover the Smoky Mountains. Still, I wasn’t clear about my route, being like a foggy morning. But believe it this way: The hotel boasts a huge fountain of which, when lights are much weaker than usual, it may resemble a small lake.
One night, after taking a kayak elsewhere, I joked about giving it a try in the fountain.
My cousin chip in the jollity and we got the rented kayak over there.There I was, trying to play it cool, but the curiosity of discovering the possibility of this being a sport – Fountain Kayaking!! – was high in me.
It was just a joke after all, but we gave it the due effort like it was a real one. Shortly after, two guards came from different corners with expressions – firstly of laughter and then of recurring confusion.
“What’re you guys doing?” they inquired, trying to hold back smiles. My reply? “We are getting prepared for a new hotel event, fountain kayaking extreme!” They laughed so loud that they nearly got into the kayak with us in the fountain.
